Reports: Sales Outside Target Range

Overview

The Sales Outside Target Range report helps user identify when a product is sold at a price point outside of their pre-established target price range. This insight helps managers understand:

  • Which sales are losing them money
  • Which sales are helping them make up the difference
  • Which salespeople were responsible for the transactions

 

A target price range must be established to take advantage of this report.

  • The target price range is the minimum price and the target price set for the lot. These price points helps businesses guide the pricing decisions of their sales staff at the point of sale.
  • Target price ranges can be entered for each lot at purchase in the PO itself or from the Warehouse > Inventory > Pricing screen.
  • This pricing guidance is then reflected in the Sales Order screen when salespeople assemble a new order.

 

How to Use

To use this report, ensure the target price setting is enabled.

  • Navigate to Settings > Orders.
  • Scroll down to the Pricing Guidance section.
  • Turn on the Allow specifying target price of lots and purchase orders toggle

Navigate to Reports > Sales > Outside Target Range to access the report. 

  • Sales Below Minimum Price will be listed at the top section of the report.
  • Sales of a product will show up in a section if the sale price was below the minimum price set on the lot. If no minimum price was established, the sale will not appear here.

  • Sales Above Target Price will be listed at the bottom section of the report.
  • Sales of a product will show up in a section if the sale price was above the target price set on the lot. If no target price was established, the sale will not appear here.

The report is designed to help you analyze the data you see. Some helpful options include:

  • Filtering by requested date or sales rep to analyze sales for a particular time period or Silo user.
  • Exporting the report to CSV to organize or manipulate the data to glean additional insights.
