Non-Inventory Items on Sales Orders

Overview

You can add additional charges or credits to sales orders in the form of non-inventory items—anything from service fees and packing materials to favorite customer discounts. These entries will affect the order total and display on any printed documents.

 

Delivery Fee

Delivery fees are one specific kind of automatically generated non-inventory item.

  • If you select a delivery route with an associated fee, the fee will automatically populate a non-inventory item on the order (you can set the delivery fee for a route in the Logistics screen and set a customer's default delivery route in the Customers screen).
  • If you want to add a fee without an associated fee, you can manually add a non-inventory item to the order.

Note that non-inventory items will not affect lot performance calculations or appear on liquidation reports.
